Contrary to popular belief, this is a sports blog……… Steve Spurrier and his Cocks spoil a perfect start to the Kentucky Wildcats season with a 38-33 win at home Thursday night. Their defense was all over the number one scoring team in the SEC who came into the game averaging 46.6 points a game. Andre Woodson, the hero of the Wildcats’ surprising start, was pressured into several mistakes. He fumbled the ball once which resulted in a touchdown, then later threw an interception in the end-zone, killing their drive. A failed lateral pass in the second half resulted in another South Carolina score. The Cocks (5-1, 3-1) are now poised for the top 10 and the lead in the SEC Eastern Division.
