MIKE BROWN TO COACH LAKERS: BAD MOVE

It seems that ex-Clevland Cavaliers head coach Mike is going to try to lead the Lakers to teh promised land next year.  I have one think to say, BAD MOVE… Out of all the coaching choices out there, the Lakers picked probably the worst one.  Let me tell you what Mike Brown’s gameplan was when he was coaching the Cavs… give the ball to Lebron and stay out of his way. The Lakers passed on Jeff Van Gundy, Brian Shaw, Rick Adelman and a handful of other coaches.  The only person worse would have been Mike Dunleavy.  I know what’s gonna happen next year, Kobe is gonna score over 30 a game and piss off the rest of the team.  I give Brown till the all-star break before he loses complete control of his team. Ron Artest and co. are gonna run circles around this guy. He’s gonna wish he was back at ESPN studios breaking down film.  I guess the days of high powered coaches are done, no more Rileys and Jacksons.  A new era has begun with the Lakers, and I see nothing but trouble ahead.

Mavericks v. Thunder, LET’S GET DIRTY!

Just 1 day away from the Western Conference Finals. Win or go home! The Dallas Mavericks have the home ocourt advantage and we all know how important that is, ask the Lakers.  It surprised us all when they swept the Lakers. I personally thought that Dallas was the weakest of the 8 Western playoff teams and the Lakers would run Dallas in 5 games. The Thunder went the distance with an underrated Memphis Grizzlies team. At the end of the day, it was obvious to me that the Thunder go as far as NOT DURANT but as far as Russell Westbrook goes. No the Mavs have been sitting idle for over 1 week.  Rusty? Maybe, but these guys are veterans.  I do think that it’s the best chance for the Thunder to steal one. I think the Mavs are gonna have their hands full with the Westbrook  There’s no one on Dallas that can hold him.  On the flip side, Nowitzki is gonna have a field day. We know that neither Perkins, Ibaka or Durant can hang with him.  They’re either too slow, too short, or too skinny to guard.  It’s gonna be interesting.  I think that I’m gonna take Dallas.  I know I’m cheering for them but I wouldn’t bet on them.  They do deserve it though, it might be Jason Kidd’s last chance as the window on these vets, Terry, Dirk, Marion, Chandler, Stojakovic  etc. is closing QUICK!!! And I’d love to see Mark Cuban getting the hardware from David Stern…

PAU GASOL SUCKS

I’m not gonna sugar coat it.  Gasol single handedly blew this game for the Lakers.  Turnover after turnover and then fouling Dirk Nowitzki and putting them on the line about 35 feet away from the basket when you’re up by 1 point? What the F!@# is wrong with this guy? And the sad part is that after making mistake after mistake, all Gasol did was make that stupid face like “where’s the foul?” I don’t wanna blame Europeans for being soft because Nowitzki punked Gasol tonight.  I have a suggestion for Phil Jackson and the Lakers… start Odom for Game 2.  I know, you’re probably thinking that I’m panicking.  But that’s not true. Gasol has been playing like a bitch all year.  Don’t let his 15-11-7 on the night fool you.  All that matters is what happens in the 4th quarter and in this case, Gasol GASUCKED!!! I do think that the refs should’ve called a foul on Jason Kidd at the end of the game.  You gotta call it both ways. Don’t worry Lakers fans, they’re still gonna beat the Mavs, it’s just gonna take 1 game longer.  I still have the Lakers in 6. Time to bring out the MAMBA!

HEAT STRIKE FIRST

Before everyone gets excited, the Miami Heat were supposed to win this game. For all you Heat fans, I wouldn’t get too excited about this win ’cause the Boston Celtics are gonna come out gunning in Game 2.  I’m pretty sure Dwayne Wade isn’t going to drop 38 points again. And even if he does, it ain’t gonna be enough.  But they’re going need more than 3 points from Bibby and Ilgauskas COMBINED.  I don’t think they’re going to get 25 form James Jones again.  I’m happy for the journeyman, but the kid had a career night. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad the Cs got burned.  I’m cheering for the Heat to take the series. But I think the ref ejecting Paul Pierce in the 4th quarter was a little trigger happy. We all know Pierce is a bitch and let’s hope that this teaches him a lesson. Maybe he’ll shut his trap for a couple of games.  And for all you Celtics fans that think that the ejection decided the game, the Heat were up by 13 by then and there were only 7 minutes left in the game.  Pumped about game two.   This series is gonna be vicious.
