Missouri Tigers v. Kansas Jayhawks: This One Counts, or does it?

The stakes just went up for the #4 Missouri Tigers and the #2 Kansas Jayhawks.  With LSU choking Friday night to the Arkansas onthebuzzer lsuRazorbacks, Kansas technically jumps into 1st place with West Virginia #2 and Missouri #3.  The winner of the Miss/Kansas game will surely take the #1 slot.  Here’s my prediction on how things are gonna shake down. Missouri will beat Kansas this weekend.  I’m not convinced by the Jayhawks, yet.  Their schedule was pretty chill for the most part.  But let’s move on.  West Virginia will lose to UCONN this weekend as well. Then, Missouri will lose the Big 12 Championship game and will leave the BCS in total chaos.  That will open the door for Ohio State into the #1 spot.  The question is who do they play? After Georgia loses to Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech is upset by #16 Virginia, USC jumps 10 spots after routing Az State and beating the Bruins, and what d’ya know, we got an Ohio State v. USC National Title game… Huh? Huh? I know that’s what the country wants to see. That’s what I want to see. We just gotta convince that stupid computer of the same. So let’s go all you nerdy hackers out there, let’s make some computer love.

Bad News for Bostonians; BC Eagles Lose

onthebuzzer.com matt ryanSorry Bostonians, you will not be dominating in every sport this year.  Sure you have the Celtics, Patriots and the mighty Red Sox and up until Saturday evening, it was looking like the Boston College Eagles were on their way to a National Title appearance.  Not if the Florida State Seminoles had something to say about it.  The Seminoles marched into Alumni Stadium in Massachusetts and raided the Eagles’ nest. The UNRANKED Seminoles.  QB Matt Ryan went from heisman hopeful to heisman hopeless, throwing 3 pics, 1 inside the Seminoles 10yd line.  Maybe the Eagles were caught looking ahead to their matchup next week against Maryland, or #25 Clemson the week after, or the finale against Miami. I don’t know. I think they were just caught with their pants down. A chance to appear in the title game does not come around too often for programs like Boston College.  Oh well, Bostonians, enjoy your Pats and your Celtics, things could be worse, you could be living in NY.
