The TRUTH about Sports

Ail to the Chiefs

herm edwards onthebuzzer.comAfter starting the season 4-3, the Chiefs dropped 9 in a row to end the season, including today’s loss against the Jets in New York.  How pathetic.  The Chiefs used to be the cream of the AFC West.  Their high-powered offense is nothing but a faint memory.  Led by Brodie Croyle, the Chiefs are probably the worst team in the league next to the Dolphins.  I don’t even think that Brodie Croyle and the word “led” can be used in the same sentence. The problem for them going into the off-season is that they have soooooo many holes to fill.  Sure they’ll end up with a top draft pick.  But who do you take? They’re in dire need of a quarterback, wide receivers, lineman…the list goes on and on.  As for their coach Herm Edwards, I was always a fan of his tough guy approach.  But now I’m beginning to wonder…hmmmmm….(or should I say hermmmmmm…).  I thought we play to win the game???

I Ain’t Gonna Sugarcoat It: NEW YORK JETS SUCK

The NY Jets went into Dallas on Thursday, and well laid an egg.  Sure they got 3 points off 1 field goal, but is that something to be proud of?  How bad can a professional team be? These guys are supposed to be professional athletes. onthebuzzer.com ny jets How can a team be so much worse than its opponent? I bet they wouldn’t even be ranked in the top 25 in the NCAA.  They signed Thomas Jones in the offseason and he has rewarded them with a combined ZERO touchdowns.  They choose to hang onto the Chad Pennington pipe dreams every year until he gets injured halfway through the season.  They have no defense, no wide receivers, and no heart. It’s time for this team to clean house.  They also might wanna think about having their own stadium. Give them their own identity.  The NY Jets, or that other team in NY, better figure out some serious changes if they don’t wanna get out of the AFC cellar.

AFC PREVIEW:

WEST

Chargers: Anything short of a Superbowl is unacceptable.
Chiefs: Haven’t had a true QB since Montana. Defense still sucks.
Raiders: Daunte and co. should be a pleasant surprise.
Broncos: Too much pressure on Cutler to make playoffs…

EAST

Patriots: Good on paper but…
Bills: Exit McGahee, enter Marshawn, same results.
Dolphins: Not good enough for Chiefs, but in the right system…
Jets: Time to think abou dumping Pennington and rebuilding.

NORTH

Bengals: A knee injury away from ending up in the cellar.
Ravens: Defense still bright spot on this team.
Steelers: Overrated QB + over-achieving RB = recipe for disaster.
Browns: Good offseason, still have a few years from becoming competitive.

SOUTH

Colts: Will clinch division by Halloween.
Titans: Vince and Lendale should help them finish second in the division.
Jaguars: Should’ve cut Leftwich 3 years ago.
Texans: Still don’t regret drafting Mario?
