SAN DIEGO NOT SO SUPER CHARGERS

Christmas came a day late for me this year.  The Charger’s loss to the Bengals coupled with the Chiefs win against the Titans gave teh Chiefs the AFC West title and the Chargers, a one-way ticket to the no-man’s land.  There’s nothing more that I love to see than the Charger’s demise. For the past 2 weeks, every NFL analyst has picked the Chargers to make their typical late season push into the playoffs eventhough they were in 2nd place in the division.  Well suck it!  The only reason the Chargers beat the Chiefs (and when I say beat, I mean BEAT) was because the Chiefs didn’t have their quarterback Matt Cassell.  Now he’s back and hasn’t missed a beat.  Dwayne Bowe is playing like the stud he is and Jamaal Charles is shining.  Can someone start the Matt Cassell for MVP chant? As for the Chargers, looks like another clutch interception by Philip Rivers.  How you lose to the Bengals without T.O. is a shock to me.  Carson Palmer played like his senior year at USC again. I’m guessing that Norv Turner won’t be there when next season starts.  If he is, you can expect another disappointing season in 2011. Kudos to head coach Todd Haley, coach of the year for turning this 5 win team around.  How about Charlie Weiss? After getting kicked out of Notre Dame, he’s re-establishing himself as an NFL genius. As for this Chiefs’ fan, it’s off to the post-season, and man does Matt Cassell beat Elvis Grbac and/or Steve Bono.

I Hate the Chargers

That’s all there is to it.  When this team first started gelling a few years ago, I was all for them.  Ladanian Tomlinson, Philip Rivers, Antonio Gates, Marty Schottenheimer.  But for some reason, throughout the years, my love and passion for this team has turned it disgust. As  soon as they fired Marty, blaming him for a horrible playoff loss after multiple players mishaps, this team went from heroes to zeroes. A bunch of overrated, underachieving pre-madonnas. They talk shit (Rivers) and expect everyone to bow down to them when they haven’t proven NADA. The only guys that was ever respected on this team was Lorenzo Neal, who is no longer with the team. They don’t back each other up when the going gets tough (L.T.).  Well, guess what, they lost at home today to the Indianapolis Colts.  This was a MUST-WIN game for them.   They”re 2 games behind the Broncos, who just got waxed by the Oakland Raiders. The AFC West is a freakin’ joke. 3/4 teams are WELL under .500 and the division leading Broncos are whopping 6-5. With that said, whoever comes out of this division is a guaranteed first round and out.  I’m not sure what I’d rather see, the Bots not making the playoffs or the Bolts getting waxed in the first round. I’m thinking the former.  Thanks for coming Chargers. Here’s a prediction for the rest of the league: Norv’s gonna hang for this.

Weekly Fire Norv Turner Update

onthebuzzer.com norv turnerWell folks, he’s at it again.  On Sunday, the San Diego Chargers dropped another game, this time to the Jacksonville Jaguars.  Now let me be the first to say that the Jaguars are a good team. The Chargers on the other hand suck!!! Norv was given a week off, after Indy handed the Chargers a victory last week. But after today’s loss in Jacksonville, it’s time.  For pete’s sake, or for L.T.’s sake, get rid of this guy.  Cut your losses San Diego.  The Chargers were supposed to be the 3rd best team in the AFC, now they’ll be lucky to be in the top half.  By the way, while you’re at it, you might want to consider another quarterback.  I’ve been singing the same tune since day one, Philip Rivers is overrated. I’m sick of hearing people say that this Norv is great with young qbs.  Great at what-hopscotch and tidily winks?  He’s got L.T. that opens up the passing game, Gates and now Chambers and still can’t seem to do anything.  I wonder if it’s time to clean house, either that or BRING BACK MARTY!!!
