JaMarcus Russell Has Been Spotted

Folks, it’s week 13 and finally we have a JaMarcus Russell sighting.  The #1 draft pick by the Oakland Raiders/holdout onthebuzzer.com jamarcus russellmade a brief appearance today.  4-7, 56 yds, no tds, no pics, no thanks.  I wonder how good this guy would be by now if he went to training camp and took in a couple of reps. The fans have been waiting for this guy with open arms. The Oakland quarterback job has been filled and unfilled by many, from Culpepper, to McCown to the janitor in Section 256-A.  While Russell might not get a decent chance to play this year, he should get the starting nod for the 2008 season. if he’s half the quarterback he was at LSU, Raider nation might see some clear skies in the horizon, might.

  2. The only Russell from Oakland that will ever be great is the one that went McClymonds H.S., won two NCAA Championships at the University of San Francisco (1955 and 1956 including an impressive string of 55 consecutive victories), a five-time winner of the NBA Most Valuable Player Award and a twelve-time All-Star! That’s right, the 6 ft 9 William Felton Russell was the centerpiece of the Celtics dynasty that won eleven NBA Championships during Russell’s thirteen-year career. Sorry Raider Nation.

  3. I was reading on
Jamarcusrussell.org “Jamarcus Russell also appeared in action and completed 2-of-5 passes for 10 yards.”, what a joke. I dont get why they dont start him? The Raiders are 4/10 the season is done. Start him already, let him get some playing time this season.
