Now that we’re back on the right track, 6-3 on the season, time to get down to business. After perusing through this week’s lines on BETUS.COM, I’ve got the winner for you: NY Jets at the New England Patriots -3. After what the Pats have been doing this season, they’ve proven to me that they still have some fight in them. With all of the history between these two clubs, NO WAY Bill Belichick will let his team lose this game in Foxborough, on a Thursday night in front of a national audience to his rival Eric Mangini and his fellow Jets. As for the Jets, they’ve become the poster child for inconsistency. I’m not saying Brett Favre is to blame, but hasn’t inconsistency followed him throughout his career. They’ve lost to the Raiders, beat the Bills in Buffalo, lost to Chargers, beat the Chiefs. Oh, and most importantly, already lost to the Patriots earlier in the season at home. You tell me who you like? Or shut your mouth, listen to the boss, and sign up at the best online sportsbook at BETUS.COM. Enjoy your winnings…
Ok, so it happened…all you haters got what you wanted. After 5 glorious weeks, the Big Dog finally lost one. Stupid overrated Jets is all I can say. But watch me bounce back. And boy do I have a doozy for you. The Buffalo Bills -1 at the Miami Dolphins. Sure this might look like a trap game, being favored by only 1 point, but the Bills are for real. They have the second best record in the league. They’re coming off a big win against the Chargers and while they might not whoop the Dolphins, they surely will cover. So don’t wait, do it, bet it. Let’s start another streak.
5-0!!! 5-0!!! 5-0!!! For those of you who haven’t been following/profiting from my picks over the past month, I’ve hit a career high 5 “LOCK of the Week”s in a row. Yeah, I’m bragging and jinxing but I do know at least one person has been profiting from my “advice.” The secret to my success…well, I can’t tell you or else it wouldn’t be a secret and you wouldn’t need me anymore. Enough of the boasting, time for business. This week’s spreads are pretty tough. There aren’t that many games that I like but you know me, I haven’t let you down in over a month and I don’t plan on doing so now. So without further adue, the LOCK of the Week is NY Jets -3 at the Oakland Raiders. Take the Jets -3, take it now, take it before the spread moves. BETUS.COM has the line at -3 and well, that’s where I’ve placed my bets. These two franchises are going in two different directions. The Jets are serious playoff contenders and the Raiders, well I hate to use a cliche` but they are MAJOR pretenders. The Jets are coming off a solid performance against the Bengals while the Raiders, just another embarrassing 34-3 loss at the hands of the Saints. So in case you forgot, head over to the top sportsbook in the business, BETUS.COM, sign up or sign in, and let the good times roll…
OK, so my regular season didn’t go so well. But the post-season is where I step up. I’m a clutch players, everyone around me knows that, or at least I’m sure they’re thinking it. But without any further delay, here are my picks for this upcoming playoff weekend. I’m feeling good about these.
Redskins @ Seahawks -3.5: Seattle is one of the toughest places to play. The Seahawks have been flying under the radar the whole season. Their passing game is solid and can put up some major points. I can’t see the ‘skins hanging offensively with the ‘hawks. Take the home team.
Jaguars -2.5 @ Steelers: The only home team to be an underdog. Call me crazy, but I like the Steelers. There’s no way that they get beat at home twice in the same season. The cold weather will have an effect on those guys from the south. Look for Ben and Co. to surprise all…
Giants @ Buccaneers -3: NY is playing well. They are a good team. Their offensive is clicking even without Shockey. As long as Manning doesn’t throw the game away, they have a chance to win. Bucs have a hard time putting up points. Take the Giants with the points, don’t get crazy and go for the money line.
Titans @ Chargers -9: Chargers beat the Titans in Tennessee during the regular season. Vince’s quad is hurting and will affect his mobility. Norv Turner has finally learned that L.T.=win. Look for the Chargers to pound and give the Titans a big dose of L.T. Take San Diego with the points.
Fine, I had a run of bad luck in week 16, going 6-8. But in my defense, it was upset city and everyone probably f-ed up. With that said, here are week 17s picks. Remember, most teams usually bench their starters so I can’t promise anything. Here goes nothing:
Patriots -13.5 @ Giants: Another game, another blowout, take the evil Pats.
Bills @ Eagles -7.5: The way the Eagles are playing, take ‘em.
Panthers -3 @ Bucs: I’m taking the Bucs to finish the season strong.
Bengals -2.5 @ Dolphins: Ready for this, Dolphins to double their win total this week.
Lions @ Packers -3.5: Lions are heinous, take the Pack in a bounce back game.
Jaguars @ Texans -6.5: Jags have nothing to play for and will probably rest their starters. Texans should win, but by 6.5. Tough call. Take the Jags and that mystique.
Saints -2 @ Bears: Take the Bears, the real Saints have shown up again.
Steelers -3.5 @ Ravens: Even the Steelers practice squad can beat the Ravens.
Seahawks @ Falcons -1.5: Seahawks, same reason as Steelers.
49ers @ Browns -10: Browns have been stumbling but are battling for a playoff spot, take ‘em.
Titans -6 @ Colts: I’m rooting for Vince to make the playoffs, so this might be an emotional pick.
Vikings -3 @ Broncos: Look for Denver to spoil the Vike’s hopes of a playoff berth.
Chargers -9 @ Raiders: Chargers will demolish the Raiders, and their nation while they’re at it too.
Rams @ Cardinals -6.5: Cards offense is potent. I can’t see the Rams playing their guns. Take the birds.
Chiefs @ Jets -6.5: I’m a Chiefs fan, but they need to end this miserable season. Take the Jets.
OK, so who doesn’t have a bad week? Well, talk about bouncing back, here goes nothing:
P.S. I already nailed the Steelers v. Rams game so technically I’m 1-0 but who’s counting.
Cowboys -10.5 @ Panthers: ‘boys are either going to rumble or stumble into the playoffs, I’m betting on the former. Take ‘em.
Browns -3 @ Bengals: I’ve been taking the Browns to the Superbowl, an picking them too. Bengals defense is heinous, take the dogpound.
Packers -9 @ Bears: GB hasn’t messed around all year, and the Bears suck. Take the Pack in a blowout.
Texans @ Colts -7: Colts at home, I wondering why the spread is so little?
Chiefs @ Lions -4.5: Looks like the Chiefs are taking the year off. The Lions passing game should make this an easy victory.
Dolphins @ Patriots -22: Not in that weather, date the ‘phins and the points.
Giants -2.5 @ Bills: Take the Bills as they are trying to keep their playoff hopes alive. The G-men are struggling mightily.
Raiders @ Jags -13: After what the Jags did to the Steelers at Heinz last week, this should be a no-brainer, and it is.
Eagles @ Saints -3.5: Saints are fighting for a playoff spot and this is just what the doctor ordered, well that and a Bush injury.
Redskins @ Vikings -5.5: I’m having a hard time seeing anyone stop the Vikings right now in the NFC. Take ‘em.
Ravens @ Seahawks -11: Ravens suck, plain and simple. Take the ‘hawks, but beware the infamous “sitting out good players for the playoffs” tactic.
Jets @ Titans -8.5: Titans looked good last week. I like what I see. I’m actually rooting to make playoffs.
Buccaneers -6 @ 49ers: Garcia’s comeback to S.F. Oh, this is gonna be a whoopin.
Broncos @ Chargers -9: Da’ Chargers. Their gift to the Broncos will be an ass-whoopin’.
It’s that time of the week again, when I make you rich. Here goes nothing, remember, I went 10-4 last week, not bad. I’m getting hot, and at the right time too.
Thursday, December 13, 2007
Denver Broncos @ Houston Texans – 1: I think the Broncos are a fluke, going to Texas on a Thursday Night, take the Texans.
Saturday, December 15, 2007
Cincinnati Bengals -8 @ San Francisco 49ers: Take the Niners and the points, Bengals are a bad team, especially on the road.
Sunday, December 16, 2007
Baltimore Ravens -3.5 @ Miami Dolphins: I’m sticking with the ‘phins at home, they HAVE to win 1 and this may be their only chance.
Buffalo Bills @ Cleveland Browns -6: Browns are for real, they should pull away from the BIlls.
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Pittsburgh Steelers -4: Heinz is a tough place to play, Steelers grind it out.
New York Jets @ New England Patriots -24: Spygate part 2, look for the Pats to punish.
Seattle Seahawks -7 @ Carolina Panthers: Take the ‘hawks, the Panthers are horrific.
Tennessee Titans -4 @ Kansas City Chiefs: Arrowhead a tough place to play, Chiefs have to win 1, take ‘em.
Indianapolis Colts -10.5 @ Oakland Raiders: Colts will blast the Raiders, this is a no-brainer.
Detroit Lions @ San Diego Chargers -10: Two teams going in opposite directions, take the Chargers.
Philadelphia Eagles @ Dallas Cowboys -10: T.O. against his old team, big game coming up.
Washington Redskins @ New York Giants -4.5: Giants heading to playoffs. It’s gonna be ugly but they should pull it off.
Arizona Cardinals @ New Orleans Saints -3.5: Saints looked good last week, I’m sticking with them.
Atlanta Falcons @ T.B. Buccaneers -13.5: Take the Falcons, they should cover, not win, just cover.
Green Bay Packers -9.5 @ St. Louis Rams: The Pack will attack, and cover of course.
Monday, December 17, 2007
Chicago Bears @ Minnesota Vikings -9.5: Vike defense is the better D, whoever thunk that. Take them to bust the Bears.
OK, I went 9-7 last week, not bad, at least it’s positive. Should’ve done better, though with Favre getting injured and those damn Browns. Anyway, no need to dwell on the past, here’s Week 14, and I’m feeling good about it.
Bears @ ‘skins -3: Take the ‘skins. Bears are no good at home. Bonus: take the under too.
Panthers @ Jaguars -10.5: Spread is big, but the Jags are solid and Carolina isn’t.
Dolphins @ Bills -7: I’m going out on a limb, take the ‘phins and the point. I feel for these guys.
Giants @ Eagles -3: Giants are overrated, Eagles at home should cover in this rivalry game.
Raiders at Pack -10: Pack is back, after 10 days rest. Defense should shut down Raiders
Steelers @ Pats -10.5: Just when you think it’s gonna be close, think again. Pats to pound an overrated Steelers D.
Chargers -1 @ Titans: Chargers have been electric, ride it!!!
Rams @ Bengals -6.5: I like the Rams BUT I just can’t see them outshooting the Bengals, take the home team.
Cards @ ‘hawks -7:This to a shootout, but Seattle is a tough place to play, home team, home team.
Vikes -8.5 @ 49ers: Vikes are legit, but the spread scares me. Alright, take the Vikes.
Browns -3.5 @ Jets: Browns to pound Jets in a big way after starting off slow against Cards last week.
Chiefs @ Broncos -6.5: Chiefs are really bad, Broncos are just bad, take Denver.
Colts -9 @ Ravens: I like what I saw in the Ravens, Colts alway struggle against Ray & Co., take Baltimore and the points.
Saints -4 @ Falcons: A lot of controversy with the Saint, but the Falcons are heinous. Take the Saints.
I’m feeling good fellow gamblers. I guess I’ve felt that before but something different this time, some sort of burning sensation… ummm… did I say that out loud?
Green Bay @ Dallas -6.5: This is gonna be a fight to the finish, I’ll take the Pack with the points.
Buffalo @ Washington -5.5: ‘skins are very emotional right now with Taylor’s death, look for a whoopin’!!!
San Francisco @ Carolina -2.5: Niners suck , especially on the road, the Panthers should take this easily…
Jacksonville @ Indianapolis -7: Indy is struggling, and the Jags are legit, take the Jags with the points.
San Diego -4 @Kansas City: Chargers are back, L.T. should run all over the injured Chiefs.
NY Jets @ Miami -1: Here you go guys, introducing the 1 win Miami Dolphins.
Detroit @ Minnesota -3.5: Peterson who??? These Vikes aren’t bad, take ‘em.
Seattle @ Philadelphia -3: Seattle’s a fraud but Philly is worse, take the ‘hawk
Atlanta @ St. Louis (no line): Rams are good, even without Bulger, take ‘em at home…
Houston @ Tennessee -4: time for Vince to shine again, take the Titans.
Cleveland @ Arizona -1: This spread boggles me, the Browns are a good team without any major injuries, take ‘em.
Denver -3 @ Oakland: Shanahan does not lose to the Raiders. That’s a lock.
NY Giants -1 @ Chicago: Bears will stifle Eli and co., go BEARS!!!
Tampa Bay @ New Orleans -3: Which team is showing up for each side? When in doubt, take the home team.
Cincinnati @ Pittsburgh -7: Tough one, I’ll take the Steelers.
New England -20 @ Baltimore: Ray Lewis, MNF, at home, no way he gets embarrassed. Take the Ravens and the points.
I’m feeling good about these picks, wait a minute…didn’t I say that last week???
Pack -3.5 @ Lions: On Turkey day,Favre is gonna light it up, take the Pack
Jets @ ‘boys -11: Look out for a fast start by the ‘boys, this one’s gonna be a whoopin’.
Colts -11.5 @ Falcons: Time for the Colts to break out offensively, take ‘em.
Broncos @ Bears -1.5: Short week for the Broncos but teh Bears are a bad team, take the Broncos.
Titans -1.5 @ Bengals: This is a tough one, Bengals have been disappointing all year but so have the Titans (plus they’re on a short week) so let’s give the Bengals one more shot.
Bills @ Jags -7.5: Jags are for real and the 2nd best team in the AFC, take them.
Raiders @ Chiefs -5.5: Chiefs won’t lost 2 in Arrowhead, but 5.5 points? Sure why not…
Texans @ Browns -3.5: Browns are serious contenders, they should eat up the Texans.
Seahawks -3 @ Rams: These are the Rams I expected all year, let’s do it fellas.
Vikings @ Giants -7: Vikes aren’t bad but the Giants should explode in the Meadowlands, take the G-men.
Saints -3 @ Panthers: Which Saints’ team is gonna show up, I don’t know, so I’ll take the Panthers.
‘skins @ Bucs -3: Redskins are better than you think they are, watching the Bucs play is like pulling teeth, take the ‘skins.
49ers @ Cards -10.5: Cards have an explosive offense, Niners have no offense, take the Cards…
Ravens @ Chargers -9.5: Old Chargers would cover, but the Norv Chargers suck. I’ll take the Ravens and the points.
Eagles @ Pats -22: The spreads keep getting bigger, and so do the whoopings, take the Pats in another pounding.
Dolphins @ Steelers -16: On Monday night in the steel city, take the boys in yellow and black, they will redeem themselves after last weeks loss against the Jets.
