USC TROJANS: TIME TO GO HUNTING FOR BUCKEYES!!!

Time for the biggest game in college football this season.  Time for the biggest game in Trojans’ country since the Rosebowl against Vince Young and the Texas Longhorns. Time for the biggest game in Ohio State Buckeyes history and the Big Ten.  Let’s stop this “Beanie Wells is doubtful” bullshit.  Everybody in Ohio knows he’s playing.  Everybody in LA knows he’s playing.  If Jim Tressel needs to con his players and have Beanie show up on Saturday and “pick up” his team as a last minute motivational tool, then he’d better head back to Ohio right now.  Enough of the shenanigans, the reverses, the options, the fake injury reports. SC’s ready. The fans are ready to go.  I’m gonna be there, right on top of the tunnel.  So when SC is done beating the Beanie out of the Well, the fans are gonna razzle the Buckeyes all the way to the locker room. Weanie Wells is going to wish he never got on the plane to LA.  He’s gonna wish he redshirted this year.

The key to this game, defense.  And who has the best in the corp. in the country? SC DOES!!!  Brian Cushing and Ray Maualuga. Heard of them? How about Kevin Ellison and Taylor Mays? Not ringing a bell. Maybe an Everson Griffin? These guys will all be playing in the pros in a year or two. I’m not gonna even get into the offense.  Not enough time. Jim Tressel better have a couple (hundred) aces up his sleeve. The flickering reputation of the Big Ten is riding on this game. The Big Ten is weak is what every sports announcer, analyst and frankly anyone with half have been preaching.   They haven’t won an important game in years. They’re light years away from the Pac-10, SEC, and Big 12. Some might even say the WAC is a tougher conference (yes, even the WAC). As for the Buckeyes, no pressure ladies.  This weekend will come and go.  You’ll be in the same position as you were, an overrated team that can’t win an important game. Next time, try scheduling a game with a team in your league, like…Youngstown State or something. I hear they’re the next up and comers.

Q: What’s Worse Than Losing in the BCS Title Game

ohio state onthebuzzer.comA: Losing two years in a row.  That’s right folks, I’m kicking Ohio State and the Big Ten while they’re down.  LSU dominated Ohio State on Monday night in the BCS title game, 38-24. Two years, two ass whoopins.  Is it time to admit that the Big-10 is overrated?  Give props to the Tigers and the SEC, but tell me you wouldn’t want to see a USC v. LSU showdown? It’s too bad the NCAA doesn’t have some sort of +1 or a playoff type tourney where the best 2 play each other, not a team that backed into the title game.  Oh well, as the college football season concludes, we have yet another year, another BCS scandal.  Enjoy the next 8-9 months because the dog days of summer lie ahead.  As for Ohio State, don’t waste our time again with another pathetic performance in the title game.

Ohio St. at Michigan: Loser Leave Town

onthebuzzer.com clash of the titansHere we go folks, the game of the weekend, with the suddenly vulnerable Buckeyes heading down to THE BIG HOUSE to face the once again injured Wolverines.  This was supposed to be the clash of the titans.  Instead, the winner will likely get dibbs on the Rose Bowl.  For Michigan head coach Lloyd Carr, this should be his last game after leading an underachieving team of bluechippers to an 8-3 record.  Although, something tells me that a Rose Bowl appearance might save his rear.  Tressel and his red vest, on the other hand, seem good to go no matter what happens in this game. He should’ve coasted to a National Title game but the Buckeyes fell to Ron Zook and his Illini last week. I’m picking Ohio State to pound and to cover. Not the game everyone had hoped for, but this is still the marquee matchup of the weekend. So hold on folks, because at noon tomorrow, there’s going to be a riot in the Big House.  And by the way, tell me the Big House isn’t the coolest name for a stadium…

Buckeyes in a “Happy” Place

onthebuzzer.com ohio state buckeyesAnd now they’re legit, or are they? The Ohio State Buckeyes went into Happy Valley and took what’s rightfully theirs, the game.  With a 37-17 victory over the Penn. State Nittany Lions, the Buckeyes are hoping that this win silences the critics. Unfortunately, Penn. St. has been one of the most overrated programs in the country.  They’ve been living off their legacy for the whole season, and with this loss, they should drop out of the top 25. With only 3 games left (next 2 at home), Ohio St. only has to worry about Michigan in the season finale.  Then it’s HELLO NATIONAL TITLE.  As for Penn. St., dare I say it’s time for Joe Pa to step aside?  Before you guys send the mob after me, let’s admit that everyone has thought about it, but no one has the cajones to say it. But I guess we can round table this topic in the offseason.  Right now, the Lions need to wonder how they’re 6th in the Big Ten and what it’s going to take to get back to the top. FIRE JOE P…I mean…umm…How about those Buckeyes?

Nittany Lions Host Buckeyes’ at Happy Valley

onthebuzzer.com joe paThe Ohio State Buckeyes‘ walk through the park might come to an abrupt halt on Saturday.  The nation’s #1 ranked team gets its’ first test of the season after coasting through the first 8 games against what mostonthebuzzer.com tressel consider a weak schedule. Penn State v. Ohio State, Joe Pa v. Jim Tressel, this is going to be a thriller, especially if Penn. St. can pull of the upset.  Buckeyes favored by 3.5 at Beaver Stadium need to just win out to keep their #1 ranking in tact.  They have 1 more “tough” game left when they travel to the Big House and face the Michigan Wolverines in the season finale. Nothing like a last minute loss to shake up the BCS.  Back to this Saturday, Ohio St. should be able to roll over the Lions, whose only quality victory came against an overrated Wisconsin Badgers 2 weeks ago. But don’t be surprised if Anthony Morelli and company have Tressel’s boys seeing white all night, LET’S GO LIONS!!!
