Vince Young is Who I Thought He Was
Another game, another loss for the Tennessee Titans, this time to the hand’s of the Denver Broncos. I’ve been singing the same tune from day 1, Vince Young is not the all-star
everyone thinks he is. He’s a "B" quarterback at best. On Monday night in a nationally televised game, Young threw his first 300 yd game of the season, with 2 picks and 1 td; he also rushed for 1 td coupled with 74 rushing yds. In 9 games this season, Vince has thrown for a WHOPPING 4 touchdowns. He is 31st in the league in passer rating, 30th in passing tds, 27th in passing yds and 22nd in interceptions with 10. I’m sorry, but the league is fading away from scrambling quarterbacks and going old school towards the pocket passer, guys who can thread the needle. Manning, Brady, Favre, Palmer (even though he’s struggling); it’s not a coincidence that none of these guys’ strengths are running. Vince deserves a fair shake though, his team needs to get him some marquee receivers and if he fails then, off to land of the Akili Smiths and such…
Moss or Owens, Owens or Moss

Luckily for me, I don’t have to choose because I drafter both Randy Moss and Terrell Owens on my fantasy team this year and have been riding them all year long. On Sunday, going into the afternoon, I was down by about 50 points against my opponent. By Sunday night, I had spanked my foe ala Patriots
and [insert any opponent name here]. Randy Moss and Terrell Owens got me a combined 8 touchdowns and 301 yds. Can someone say money, money, money, money… I probably jinxed it but my fantasy team is coming around, just in time for playoffs. With Steven Jackson looking like his old self and Torry Holt doing what he does, all I need is for my 2 quarterbacks Eli Manning and Derek Anderson to give me 2 touchdowns each per week and this league is ALL MINE. My only concern is my arch nemesis who has both Romo and Brady. But as long as they keep throwing to their #1s, everything is gonna be as cool as the Fonz. Heyyyy…
Celtics Believe in Magic
You wanna bet? On Sunday afternoon, the Boston Celtics traveled down to Orlando and were handed their first loss of the season, leaving them at 8-1. Led by Dwight “God” Howard’s 24 points, 6 rebounds and 3 blocks, the Magic shocked the hottest team in the league. Don’t look now, but the Magic actually are on their own streak, winning 8 of their last 10 games to a league’s second best 9-2 record. The addition of Rashard Lewis has already paid off dividends, averaging just over 21 points a game. Now I might not know much about basketball [insert joke here], but I do know that these 2 teams are for real and will go deep into the playoffs this year. Boston’s loss might actually be the first piece of bad news since well, A-Rod going back to the Yanks?
5 NFL Players that Should’nt Be in the League
I’m sitting at home and watching the NFL on Sunday and I realized that there are some players out there that make me repeat to myself, “why the hell is this guy in the league.” Lightbulb! Time for a new blog. Now you’ll find it interesting that they are all quarterbacks, but hey, it just worked out that way. Look how happy they all are…
Dante Culpepper OAK. qb: I had hope for this guy before the season began, thinking he might be prime for a comeback. But after watching him play this year, I’ve realized, he’s not a smart player. He makes bad throws, bad decisions and frankly is not a leader. Get this guy outta here!!!
Joey Harrington ATL. qb: I hate to say it because he plays with so much heart and emotion, but Joseph, maybe football’s not your sport. While you’re at it, take Byron Leftwich with you.
Trent Dilfer SF qb: You should’ve retired after the superbowl victory with the Ravens. Now, you just stink. With 3 tds, 5 ints and a 52.2 passer, what more is there to say.

Donovan McNabb PHI. qb: He never takes full responsibility for anything. He’s one of those guys that always finds fault with something else, like the D or the running game or Campbells’ soup. T.O. was right about him, he is not a leader.
Chad Pennington NYJ, qb: How many chances are we supposed to give this guy? Hopefully the Jets have learned that he’s not the answer and move forward WITHOUT him
Honorable mention to the entire Miami Dolphins team (sans Ronnie Brown). Read more »
Patriots Running Up the Score; What’cha Gonna Do About It?
4th and 1 on the Buffalo 3, Patriots up 35-7. What does Belichek do? They go for it and Brady throws his 5th touchdown pass of the game. Pouring it on, running up the score, call it what you want but the New england Patriots don’t care. They don’t care about their opponents, they don’t care about you, and they don’t care about rules and sporstmanship. I don’t mind it, you go out there and you punish the team you’re playing against until they give up. Sure it looks like the Bills have given up, but if they don’t wanna play, get off the field. This is supposed to be a professional football team and they look like a Div II-A team, if even that. I will say one thing, if the Pats were running up the score on me, I would definitely send in the goon squad for a cheap shot, send them a message. Everyone knows that when an NHL game is out of reach, the goons come in and fights break out. In MLB, someone might get thrown at. Old school NBA-a hard foul. Cheap shot, late hit, roughing the passer, whatever it takes because when the Pats come into town, they’re playing for keeps.
Weekly Fire Norv Turner Update
Well folks, he’s at it again. On Sunday, the San Diego Chargers dropped another game, this time to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Now let me be the first to say that the Jaguars are a good team. The Chargers on the other hand suck!!! Norv was given a week off, after Indy handed the Chargers a victory last week. But after today’s loss in Jacksonville, it’s time. For pete’s sake, or for L.T.’s sake, get rid of this guy. Cut your losses San Diego. The Chargers were supposed to be the 3rd best team in the AFC, now they’ll be lucky to be in the top half. By the way, while you’re at it, you might want to consider another quarterback. I’ve been singing the same tune since day one, Philip Rivers is overrated. I’m sick of hearing people say that this Norv is great with young qbs. Great at what-hopscotch and tidily winks? He’s got L.T. that opens up the passing game, Gates and now Chambers and still can’t seem to do anything. I wonder if it’s time to clean house, either that or BRING BACK MARTY!!!
