Phillies Drop 2 in Philly
One more game for the Colorado Rockies to advance to the NL Championship game. After taking 2 from the Philadelphia, these guys are headed home and seem to be the feel good story of the playoffs. Kudos to this group, who seem to be a group of throwbacks, guys who just want to play ball for the love of the game. Matt Holiday is continuing his tear with a homer in the 1st to set the tempo. But the real story of the game is the play of Kaz Matsui, going 3-5 with 5 RBIs and a grand salami. Unfortunately, the Philly pitching staff decided to stay home today, allowing 10 earned runs. Its all but over for the Phillies. It was a good effort though (NOT). Seems like noone in the NL East can compete in the playoffs.

Kaz Matsui with a grand slam? The hero of Game 2 of the Rockies/Phillies NLDS? Who woulda’ thought?
